Re: Whaa?

My oldest son (studying to be a theoretical physicist) merely laughs at them and says, "Ha - you believe in the moon!" That has stunned the one idiot that we know who is a denier; he had no clue as to how to reply to that. That was more or less from Ali G, who asked Buzz Aldrin what he th...

Not to sure what's going on here, but apparently Duran Duran is involved, and I see a familiar name in this pic:  https://video-images.vice.com/_uncategorized/1563564222372-Screen-Shot-2019-07-19-at-11147-PM.png?resize=1575:* (from article here: https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/597xx8/co...

Re: Brexit Delay

My understanding is that she has a UK grandparent and lives in the Commonwealth she has a path to UK citizenship. I'm thinking (without checking, which is dangerous) that it is being a Commonwealth citizen. Although she currently does live in the Commonwealth (as do I), she is not a citizen. Howeve...

Re: Brexit Delay

It was the whole thing. Were you angry at Heid for someting he wrote (because you said, Sir Arschloch)? No, not at all. It's a name in his avatar, so I figured I'd use it. I suppose your "eastern subhumans" referred to the "We want Brexit because we don't want any Polish plumbers to ...

Re: Brexit Delay

Mactep - That last post was way above my head. Would you explain? I'll ask nicely, and I am genuinely interested. And of course, I'll applaud Nicola Fish-Name fervently, for whatever reason. Two barely related issues. The first two paragraphs are one thing, the last paragraph is another. Which one ...

Re: Brexit Delay

AS someone put it yesterday "Boris Johnson will be the next , and last, PM of the UK." Brave Sir Arschloch, The last time there was a Scottish independence referendum, my attitude was, it’s not my concern, stay in the UK, leave, whatever you like, I don’t care, it’s not my business. I now...

The next film is incredibly racy, as you can see from this entry in the "Sex & Nudity" section:

We see brief glances of <name>' bare feet.

Re: President Donald J. Trump

I should add that I have read opinion columns stating that no-deal Brexit is dead, that Brexit with a deal is dead, and cancellation of Brexit is also dead.

Since I can't think of any other possibilities, it seems we have something of an existential crisis.

Re: President Donald J. Trump

According to one MP, Donald Trump had killed Brexit by stating that in any discussions with the UK, the possibility of American firms having access to the UK health care market should be a subject of negotiation. https://www.salon.com/2019/06/06/trump-just-killed-off-brexit-according-to-british-poli...

Re: The Cricket World Cup

It begins tomorrow with our noble Saffer lads taking on Dublin born Eoin Morgan and his band of tossers. The English have cut down on the number of Diggers and Saffers in the team but did fast track in a Barbados born bowler by greatly reducing the qualification period. I expect to change allegianc...

Re: Venezuela for Dummies

Isn't it ironic that Donald Trump the Isoloationis, the fierce get-out-of-the-Middle-East, let-them-sort-it-out-alone anti-statebuilder, is now seriosuly pondering an invasion in Venezuela in order to promote Freedom and Democracy? Oh my, people tend to get interventionist with that kind of militar...

Re: Brexit Delay

I'm a little unclear on how the system works. May had a governing coalition, that included a Northern Irish party. So now the conservatives choose a new leader, but everyone I see is talking like this person is automatically the new PM. Won't they have to preserve the coalition? (Or form a new one?)...
