It sounds vaguely familiar.

Stripes and Caddyshack

Stripes, followed by Caddyshack while Cyndi is at work.

Not a bad way to spend a cloudy Saturday afternoon.

Re: Stealth Christians

Wow... Have you seen the tract that looks like a folded up $20 bill? It looks real until you pick it up and open and find Jesus hiding inside waiting to pounce on you. I used to break into an evangelical rant at telemarketers when they called. I could go pretty good. They would usually hang up on me.

Armageddon (1998)

Say what you will about, I still think it's a great movie. And as I sit here now and rewatch it, for probably the dozenth time, I am shocked (SHOCKED I say!) to find it actually contains a blooper. Who could ever imagine? Early in the movie, when Harry (Bruce Willis) learns that A.J. (Ben Affleck) r...

Re: The IMDB Parents Guide Game

Sex & Nudity A woman dances in a shirt and panties. A woman's almost-naked corpse comes to life and starts dancing in a really disturbing way. It is supposed to be comical and it is in old stop motion claymation form. It is also seen from a distance and not erotic in anyway. One breast is expose...

Dr. Zhivago (1965)

I'm sitting here watching Dr. Zhivago for the first time. It's about half way through at the moment.

I just have to say, I'm very surprised. I had no idea that the Russians had such lovely English accents.

Hasn't this guy addressed 'do not ever practice birth control' already? I thought he'd made some 'comments' but not yet anything official.

Re: Idiocracy (2006)

But that's the question. Why was that the case in one place/time, and not in another? What made the difference? Why was Vietnam different than Germany and Japan? Why was Iraq (and Afghanistan, if you like) more like Vietnam than like Germany and Japan? Again, the difference is that we were fighting...

Re: Idiocracy (2006)

Well, in WW2 we fought governments, not the populations of the countries. Now we fight ideologies. When the civilian population hates you as much or more than the military you are fighting, how can you ever win? Look at Viet Nam.
