Re: Brexit Delay

OK, I'm confused.

BBC website is reporting that a deal (and a longer extension) could still be arranged by April 12. I thought the deadline was today.

Re: Brexit Delay

Well, IM Mai came within 100 votes this time.

"HGW XX/7" would be a good username, would it not?

Re: Brexit Delay

Also, the "breaking news" banner at the CNN website says "Stand by for more political turmoil in the UK" :)

CNN updated their website faster than the BBC.

So this means April 12, no deal?

But, I would also be interested if any of our other friends have any opinion one way or the other on her.

So, they are voting now.

So, it is 2:30 in the afternoon on 29 March, and we're not sure what's going to happen.

Re: Mosque shootings in New Zealand

About the same percentage of the NZ population killed as the American population killed on the 11 September attacks.

The suspect is Australian. So now New Zealand have to invade Australia. And maybe Brazil too, just for good measure.

Scotland 11 - 18 Wales

Italy are already out, Scotland just joined them. France still have a tiny shred of hope, but this is looking like an England, Wales, and Ireland contest now.

Re: What sports teams do you support?

England has won some Six Nations recently.

At the moment, I’d give the best odds to Wales, followed by England, then Ireland. Italy cannot win. The next match (about 21 hours from now) is Wales v Scotland. Both France and Scotland could be eliminated if Wales win.

Scotland must win tomorrow to stay alive in the Six Nations. And even if they do, it's still a bit of a long shot.

Never been there, and I'm not sure I've ever heard a casual conversation about it. I have seen "PEI" in print, which should not be confused with PIE, the Pan-Island Expressway.

First Astronaut from Scotland - sort of

https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-47336617

Made it to 89.9 km, which gets him astronaut wings by the US definition of space (50 miles), but not the international definition (100 km).
