As a former student of archaeology, I can only cringe at the implications for the reputation of archaeologists as time goes by and the hype blows over. Mind you, I s'pose we've had Indiana Jones in popular culture, so I guess this is like the next episode (something like 'Son of Indy and the Moon of Doom').

Heh. Just for fun, imagine if Earth civilization goes into decline, emerging again 100,000 years later. Imagine the new civilization developing space travel. Imagine they do the same search of the lunar surface for artifacts. Imagine they find Luna, Surveyor, six Apollo's and Al Shepherd's golf ball.
