Oh yes, nice work, boss. Problem is, there WON'T be Olympics in 2014 because after TEOTWAWKI, there will be no Sotchi, no Putin, no Rogge, no athletes, and no 2014. So it is a bit of idle play, isn't it?

ETA: Well, at least there will be one more Talk Like a Pirate Day.

I'm hoping that it's caused by the LHC forming a black hole. It has two advantages for me:

1) Knowing that various idiots were RIGHT ALL ALONG
2) The satisfaction of knowing that England will perish marginally before Scotland (presumably, as it's closer).

No - my Grandma is ... erm ... can't say as that would violate the rules of the family and possibly make you an accessory after the fact.

He'd be in heaven.

By the way, at the elementary school, we always celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day. Had all 57 kindergarteners yelling along to the pirate stories I read to them that day. Not sure what shenanigans we'll get up to this year ... Last year the principle did his announcements in pirate, too!
Is there such a thing?

It's all very well in Aulde Englishe Pirate langwich. What about Google for Somali pirate language? (Or would that be too topical?)

yeah, you can tell it to become some other language, but it used to come up with a settings link that gave me a list of languages and stuff. I don;t get that now on my google screen.

Oh yes, we died a couple hours ago. The very earth opened up, and we were swallowed up, wwhile lightning bolts chased us down. Kinda scary, really. But I did as the National Safety COouncil recommended, I left all the windows slightly open to alleviate any pressure differences.

Normally, if something is going on out of the ordinary, our cats get a bit skittish. But for some reason today, they been just lounging around like always. With the occasional break to go knock things off the shelves and pounce on one another. This whole end of the world thing must be pretty subtle.
