I have to admit, they look like the rear panels that keep my pre-cut, follow-the-instructions furniture square and slightly less wobbly.

I've got quite a few of those . . .

I'm not quite sure what they are made of. They look like they might be thin sheets of aluminium, but it's hard to tell for sure.

Being flat (as opposed to glossy), I wonder if they are warping due to heat absorption.

Apparently they are thermal blankets.

Well I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to go to the moon without one of those.

I don't know, those Ninja Bullets they advertise on TV all the time look much higher tech and have so many other uses as well.
