The Indian space program sent a probe to the moon, but at low altitude communications lost and apparently so was the lander. Orbiter continues to function.

Isn't the south pole where the alien bases are? What were they expecting?

Looking at the control room photos, I suspect part of the problem was too many saris and not enough pocket protectors.

Saris seem to do the hardest jobs.

They have found it but can't communicate with it yet. They are still treating the mission as a success since it got there and the orbiter is working.

The gallery of photos on the ISRO website is the most Indian thing imaginable I particularly like photo 20 of the carpark.
