I stayed up to watch a live stream because I knew I wouldn't wake up early. Now I can't fall asleep and didn't even get to see anything cool.

Why does the Orion Spacecraft look like its travelling 'sideways'? Is the Capsule oriented to travel 'sideways' for some reason? (Such as keeping the bottom of the service module facing the sun?) Does anyone know?
