People, especially on GLP, are always saying in answer to a thread referring to God, "God doesn't exist so the question is irrelevant".
Which is all very fine but not very scientific.

There may or may not me E.T. races all over the Universe and on one planet in a galaxy, far far away there maybe a bloke called Jim.
He may have antenna and be blue but his name maybe Jim all the same.

Can you say that Jim exists?

the same question can equally be applied to God.

Does God exist?

Statistically, if he doesn't want to reveal himself, surely it must be 50:50 whether he exists or not.

I am certainly willing to entertain the possibility of Jim, but I don't think you can know for sure until you either observe Jim, or he introduces himself to you.

It'll probably be hard to miss that antenna.
No trees were killed in the posting of this message.

I'm going to use Jim, instead of God.

I believe Jim exists, but not in the way you are referring. I believe Jim is exclusively within ourselves as a human being. Jim tells me right from wrong. Jim helps me heal third degree burns. Jim allows me to create life, even though I don't plan on ever doing this act of Jim. :)
