The last surviving member of Apollo 7, the first crewed Apollo flight which was a rigorous, in-depth test procedure for the new, refubished (after the Apollo 1 disaster) Apollo CSM, using the SIVB upper stage as a docking target.

They happened to splash down only slightly more than an hour after my birth, which I find really cool.
