You need an "Other" option.

If the religion condones homosexuality, like the Episcopalian do, and also does not require their preachers to be abstinent, then probably not.

Well, it's a bit more complicated even than that. If the religion does not require abstinence of its preachers, and condones homosexuality, but does not condone meth use and prostitution, then you still have a problem.

(Ok, I think what you meant was that if the actions do not violate the morality of the religion, then no, but I had to nitpick.)

It is as per his employment contract, if he has one, and up to his employers, if he doesn't.

Yeah, you could have done it. If the occasion arises again, feel free. Just mention somewhere that you did it.

What if the male prostitute was on the second floor? Then he would have been required to step up for having sex with him.

My recollection of Leviticus 18:22 is a bit shaky, "manlovin' is an abomination" being the gist of it, but I think as long as they didn't eat shell fish (also an abomination), or wear clothes of two materials (stoned to death) or a garment made from two materials (stoned to death again) I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm unsure what the dress code for illicit trysts with rentboys is these days, but hopefully one was wearing some latex; any other garment (unless latex) and I'm reaching for a rock . . .

Edit to add: Here ya go.

I'll just say that my big issue with this - 'cause I love to state the obvious - is that he cheated on his wife which I don't condone period. And he was coming out strong against gay marriage and homosexuality in general. He is the worst kind of hypocrite and shouldn't be leading any kind of group.

I thought this was a rhetorical question, are we talking about a real person here?

Yes. We are talking about a real person. The Rev. Ted Haggard was pastor of 14,000 member church in Colorado, and he was coming out strong for the amendment against gay marriage, and the gay prostitute he'd been paying for, I think three years, recognized him on television and decided it would be best to come forward.

So, the preacher admits to paying him for massages and buying methamphetamine, but he denies using the methamphetamine and he denies actually having sex with the guy.

Maybe it is a semantic distinction like "it depends what they meaning of 'is' is". Maybe the other guy was having sex with him . . .

I seem to be missing things lately, when did you move to the Convict Colony?

Well, no problem then, as long as this fellow didn't intend to marry the gay prostitute.

That was the reason the prostitute saw him on television. He's also fond of calling homosexuality an abomination. :)

Maybe so, but it's where England sent all of her convicts after we declared our independence here in the U.S.

Oz Immigration: "Do you have a criminal record?"
Brit Tourist: "I didn't realise one was still required."

On reading the article it struck me that having "overseers" was a bit like a Scientology audit. Another reason to stay away from the happy clappys.
