I didn't know he was still alive, well he isn't, but you know what I mean. I must make an effort and catch up. :oops:

Not to be confused with Milton Keynes;

Or even Maynard Keynes

That seemed a lot funnier inside my head.

In a survey of economists a few years back, he was ranked the second most influential of the 20th century, just behind Maynard Keynes. His son is a well-known American libertarian, and Milt's political views were rather libertarian as well. After winning the Nobel prize in economics in 1976, made a notorious quip about how, in his opinion, the central bank that endowed the prize could be replaced by a computer program. Didn't want to give future Nobel laureate (1990, shared with Bill Sharpe and Merton Miller) Harry Markowitz his doctorate back in the 1950s. Sent KOS a petition to sign, in favor or legalization of marijuana.

Well, he did retire from U. Chicago something like 30 years ago. The person who took over his course there won the Nobel prize in 1992. . .

Oh, no, that's Morgan Freeman. But that's an easy mistake to make, they're pretty similar.
