<s>Rest in Peace</s> Rot in Hell: Jerry Falwell

(This post may be jumping the gun a little but I got impatient when I heard the news of his collapse.)

Confirmed!

And good riddance to the vile, lying bastard.

Whew, you didn't even say that when they hung Saddam, and that was one unrighteous man. You must be really cheesed off by this guy (not that I will miss him).

I am certain I will go to hell if there is one, but the stupid "what the..." look on the faces of guys like Jerry Falwell will be one hell, ha, ha, of consolation.

He was the personification of everything that is wrong with places like GLP. Facts and truth don't matter at all. Just say what ever you need to say to get your point made regardless of who it hurts.

He made my skin crawl...

Tell the Teletubbies it's safe to come out of hiding.

I'm pretty conservative, but I couldn't stand him. He reminded me of a crooked country preacher.

REMINDED you?

Rev Falwell has gone to dwell forever in the grace of God, reaping the rewards of salvation and eternal peace.

Now if only we could get Pat Robertson to join him in the eternal bliss that is heaven...

I've heard that up in heaven, if you drop your spoon, it falls right through the clouds, and then you have to finish your Cheerios with your fork.

The problem is, Falwell is like the terrorists. You get rid of him, there is a Ralph Reed, Ted Haggart, or someone like them waiting to step right in and take his place.

Shades of grey. There are bigger fishes to fry and cults out there that are doing more damage.

Or shades of black? Maybe not the biggest fish to fry, but sizeable nonetheless. The danger was less in the degree of evil he represented than in the degree of leverage this evil had on the policies of the most powerful nation on Earth.
