Our impending election.

A disappointing lack of parties in our constituency all mainstreamish.

No Furries, no-one redder than a baboon's backside, no nutters, all a bit underwhelming really.

The seat will probably go from Labour to LibDem as Edinburgh's leafy suburbs have lost faith with Broon. Nationally it is all up in the air, last minute panic will probably stop the LibDems getting many seats and the Little Englanders will rally to the Tories. I wouldn't even be surprised to see a BNP MP in East London or some grim Northern town.

Edit to add: Broon's mask slips . . .

Raving lunatics running for Parliament is more of an English thing, isn't it?

I was actually hoping for a hung parliament*.
The only way to beat the arrogance of power out of the establishment.
And perhaps bring an end to perpetual minority rule.

Way to go, Gordo. Why not just kick a puppy?

Raving loonies are a bye election thing rather than General elections. But there still should be some.

I don't think a hung parliament is a bad thing, Scotland has had one for a couple of years, The main UK parties are trying to scare voters.

Kicking a puppy would be good; or raping a crippled nun or setting fire to an orphan. :D

Glasgow East is more like it, everything from the BNP to old fashioned Trots.

I stand corrected HD, it is more of an english thing. Ahaar, all pirates set sail for Bethnal Green.

And zombies head to Brighton.

I suppose a ninja candidate would have to put their real name rather than their ninja serial number, which might be the problem.

Well we have a coalition for the first time since the 1940s, not necessarilly a bad thing but we'll see how long it lasts before it goes south. Once again Scotland is dramatically under represented in the government, but the English argue we were over represented in the last.

'Tis not as if the Tories have any reason to like the Scots.
