Earlier today I saw the headline Singaporeans will vote for Tan, but which one?

My first thought was that it was about choosing a mascot, like Wiki-tan.

It's a parliamentary system, so choosing the president is a little bit like that :P

Reminds me of a movie...

A long time ago I watched some British comedy film, and a police inpsector was asking questions of some Cockney woman at the door of her home, with a bunch of screaming kids in the background. Hard to hear the inspector so she yells at the kids, then says, "Sorry, I apologize for the 'iatus." ("Hiatus" spoken in accent) He says, "The what?" She says again, "'iatus." Then he says, "Madam, so do I."

I always liked that.
