True, but not as a consequence of voting yes. If every no voter was guaranteed to win the lottery, by the way, I'd still vote yes.

Why of course! If everyone won the lottery, you'f make more money by not winning it.

Not me, no. Scotland is a country, not a balance sheet. I'd vote yes even if I immediately had to go and live in a cave.

And I would be in the cave next door.

Don'T forget, the Internet would be crappy. So if living in a cave can't make you vote No, maybe the threat of losing Internet connectivity could?

There are absolutely no circumstances that would compel me to vote no in this referendum. I've wanted an independent Scotland for my entire life, and until only 10 or so years ago that was a pipe dream. To be able to play my part in the independence process is amazing.

Reading some of the linked articles . . .

What will Scotland's international dialling code be? - My guess is +44, not unlike the way Canada and the US share +1.

Will Scotland be allowed to use the three prong electrical plug? - We use UK-style plugs here, unlike Australia, which was forced to adopt those Chinese plugs.

+44 has been confirmed. I hadn't even thought about plugs, but I would imagine that will be one of the things that just carries on. Like currency.

It is of course a ridiculous scare story, but when I'm driving on the right in continental Europe it feels much more natural anyway. :) :-)

Also, it would be hilarious to fit these on all the roads on the border.

Mr. Rabbit speaks out against a "yes" vote.

It seems to me that few things tick people off more than foreigners telling them what to do (perhaps that is the rational for a "yes" vote), and that most world leaders know this, and keep their big stupid mouths shut when other countries go to the polls. But quite a lot of presidents/prime ministers have spoken out on this one.

Well, the UK government have been trying to get pretty much every political leader in the world to speak out against it. Barack Obama had been briefed by David Cameron on what to say, and the BBC had been primed to ask him. They've been using the UK embassies to try to get people to speak out against it, and were caught out nicely when the Spanish published their begging letter.

Oh, and all reasons for independence are rational. Can you give one good reason to vote no?

It's good to have logical compulsion on your side!

But you folks should be OK for five years at least, you are not within the area ISIS will control.

Yes, I'll have to check how Sharia Law would affect that. On the bright side I can add Andalus, Alkinana, Sham, Orobpa, Anathol and Khurasan to the countries I have visited.

Actually given demographics and the numbers who are active in various religions we may be a North Western outpost of Orobpa in a few years.

Not that it's a realistic option, but how about continued membership in the UK if England secedes?

The Wikipedia page refers to the union of 1707 as "deeply unpopular" in Scotland.

A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.
