OMFG, this fellow is now supposedly living in the transit area of . . . Sheremetyevo Airport.

The horrors. Truly he is paying the price for crossing the Americans :(

In that case they powers that be should have no difficultly apprehending him in the transit area, since 'he hasn't crossed the Russian border and doesn’t fall under any extradition treaty.' (according to Vlad). http://rt.com/news/putin-snowden-moscow-extradition-220/

I predict this is going to go on for a while.

There is some information out which appears to contradict the earlier report.

I daresay 'his' 'lawyer' is enjoying the limelight.

US/Russian negotiations have taken a step change, and the Russians are winning.

I always felt sorry for Methodius as his wee brother gets all the credit.

I'm guessing that even with that link to the new name the TSA won't manage to find Snowden.

Old news (by a couple of weeks) here, but nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

http://rt.com/news/snowden-nominated-nobel-peace-099/

Having made the rather risky choice of awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to a sitting US president with at least three (and as we now know, seven) years remaining, in order to poke the previous holder of that office in the eye, the Nobel committee now has the opportunity to poke their previous instrument of poking, as he hasn't quite turned out the way they had hoped.

They were very premature with the award to Obama, I doubt they'll give it to Snowden though.

NSA spied on Mexico and Brazil.

This is why one should always use end-to-end encryption with email.

I suspect it would probably be easier just to list the countries they didn't spy on (if any).

A little bit old, but:

http://euobserver.com/foreign/120795

I like the "Yes We Scan" sign.

Near the bottom of the article:

An opinion poll carried out by Emnid end of June showed that 50 percent of Germans consider Snowden to be a hero and 35 percent would hide him in their homes.

Yes it is old. The Snowden news has gone a bit quiet lately.

The New Zealand BMW and the Canadian Lexus were just parked in front of the building which houses their High Commissions. Some people got into the NZ car a few minutes ago, and the same happened with the Canadian car just now. Snowden did not appear to be in either car, although New Zealand gave me a bit of a nasty look as I tried to see. I think they're hiding something.

Here's a petition.

I'm not sure I should sign it, though, if I have no connection to BRD.
