Reuters wrote:Typhoon Longwang struck Taiwan at about 18:00 GMT on 1 October. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 23.5 N, 122.4 E. Longwang brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 222 km/hr (138 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.

I think Taiwan took it pretty hard.

Apparently "longwang" (one word - pronounced lung'wong) means "Dragon King". Oddly enough, that's not too different from it's meaning in English.
