Equalling the record for the heaviest ever defeat in this event the olympics, and losing an individual end by 7 is a new record. I'm not gloating, as I don't support "Team GB" - not even when the entire team, as in this instance, are Scottish.

Once we're independent we'll actually have a decent winter Olympic team.

The BBC coverage is a bit bleak:
they show everything live but you can't record it so fuck you if you actually want to watch biathlon or cross country and have a job.
They are more interested in telling you what celebrities are tweeting then showing highlights.
They criticise everything about the games, even when it is irrelevant or not fixable. It froze overnight so the slopes were icy but now the sun is out so they are going soft. So Sochi is both too cold and too hot. Never mind that Whistler was too wet and foggy, that was Canada so it was ok.

They did send a lesbian to front the show so that is something.

Oh my giddy aunt! Yes everything is shown live on the red button but sometimes, as with the Sweden -v- Russia ice hockey there is no commentary and between periods they just take the live feed and play it. So 20 minutes of silent hockey, then 20 minutes of random crowd shots and stadium background noise, repeat, etc.

I appreciate there won't be many people watching but taking the Swedish or Russian feeds with Scandie/Soviet jibberjabber would be better than this.

I would do them a commentary over the phone for nothing, it wouldn't be good but it would be better then nothing.

Memo to BBC: Russia and The Soviet Union are not the same thing, Russia is the major part of what was the USSR but it is no more the USSR than Belorussia is. Also Russia did not compete in the Olympics from 1945 until relatively recently, and neither did Germany. And Ukraine doesn't have a definite article.
