Yes, yes I think she did, and it was as close to giving a middle finger to her gouvernment as Lizzy would ever get. I really like this Queen of yours, sometimes.

Sometimes in these kinds of upheavals, the real important things get overlooked.
It's nice to know there are still some people out there looking out for us all.

A client who lives in France asked what I currently thought of Brexit:

"We seem to be heading for Schrödinger’s Brexit where we are both inside and outside the single market, Northern Ireland is both inside and outside the UK and EU citizens can and can’t come to the UK. Perhaps exchange rates will both improve and worsen."

Didn't know where to put this, so I'll just leave it here.
Theresa May impersonation on SNL. I've not heard her speak much so I don't know how good this is. Some say the accent is not so good but the delivery is.

Looks like the DUP are scuppering any deal that links Norn Iron with the Republic rather than the rest of the UK. An entirely predictable consequence of the alliance between them and the Tories. If May hadn't called the general election she wouldn't have needed the DUP so they would have no influence.

She's really fucking up the countty quite badly, isn't she. Not that I am surprised, but she is realky extrordinarily bad. Wouldn't it be great to have, say, John Major back?

So if the DUP don't support her, is she going to take back the extra billion pounds she gave them?

Most of it hasn't been paid yet, so there is that. The DUP care more about not being Oirish than the money though. The BBC seem strangely silent on the thought that if Norn Iron can successfully be in the EU while Brexitshire isn't then there is no reason Scotland can't have the same status. Sadiq Khan is quite noisily saying the same thing thought you wouldn't know it from our national broadcaster.

John Major as "least despicable Tory"? He wouldn't have called the election so he would be in a stronger position than May is, which wouldn't be a good thing.

John Major would probably wouldn't have been stupid enough to call the referendum in the first place. That bugger from David "The Toffer" Cameron is what started this idiocy.

We have an agreement! Which largely says we agree to agree in the future using as yet undefined principles. But yeah! Photo opportunity!

One of my favourite ever descriptions of somebody was of him, as “a haunted suit”.

[anecdote alert] The Mems sister is a nurse in a hospital in Derby, running a ward which has always been staffed by a mix of English, EU and Philipino nurses. She can't retain the middle group now as they are all heading elsewhere on the basis that they look at their patients and colleagues and wonder which are the 60% who voted Brexit. [/anecdote alert]

[anecdote alert]A friend of mine, a very enthusiastic "No" voter in our independence referendum has an eastern European wife, and is quite perturbed by all of this. In October, he said these things on Facebook in a fine rant:

---
As someone whose family is half 'the enemy', may I take this opportunity to say FUCK YOU to the Chancellor and the Tories and any and all Brexiteers. Thank you.
---
It turns out I cannot edit someone else post, but this was ONCE and it was about nationalism and the misguided linguistic supremacy of Plaid. I was naive, but only in regard to the sheer BASTARDRY of the 'Conservative and Unionist Party'. I wholeheartedly HATE the FUCKERS and all they stand for. And I really do HATE any prick that voted leave, and this is not healthy.
---
I now cheerfully identify as a nationalist and will vote SNP every time. Scotland in Europe.[/anecdote alert]

And now for something really important: Brits will have their gold-on-dark-blue passports back by October 2019. Britain bowed to evil pressure from devillish Brussels in 1988, when it switched over to standard EU (Then EC) bordeaux red passport, which are in A6 format to boot. Now, as the responsible minister is telling his wide-eyed subjects, Britains have a singular opportunity to regain their national identity back carrying navy blue passports again.

Is there a larger barf Smily somewhere?

We're having a cabinet re-shuffle and I have no idea who almost all of these fucknuggets are. They are all nice and white though, which tells you all you need to know.
