Very important to protect Chinese investment bankers and other investors from competition from low-wage foreign investment bankers! :)

Nice to see he is not indefatigable. Rest in shreds, American Health Care Act.

Dismantling the entire Political System (T.M.), as he said he'd do, seems a lot harder to shout about than do. What he did those last days looks a lot like totally normal politicking, only not competent.

I love that his first major effort was a catastrophic failure for him. It should drive him [even more] nuts.

I also like that I'll be able to keep MY health insurance. This is kind of important to me.

I think I know what you meant there. ;)

So have I got this right? He's been beaten by the courts, both houses in the legislature, and the states?

I have no idea if this is a common expression but it made me laugh: "His voters are a bunch of brain dead numb nuts who couldn’t pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel."

I wouldn't call it common, at least around here, but I have heard it a few times. Infrequently enough that it's still amusing every time.

SO he appointed Gen'l Flynn a while back, the guy lasted about two weeks and left. Now he has agreed to testify at hearings in return for immunity from prosecution. Amazing, in two weeks he learned enough to be work granting of immunity.

I'm really looking forward to hear what he has to say. And I hope he doesn't have some kind of terrible accident before hand.

Trump to Chief of Staff: "Have we gotten access to the Secret Presidential Hit Squad yet?"

When the CIA boss tells him there is is no such thing, he'll probably call him Fay Knoose.

It's not what he learned in 2 weeks that's worth giving him immunity for. (Actually, it might be - who knows?) It's what he learned in the previous year. As Trump loves to hark back to Ronald Reagan, he probably thought Flynn would be some kind of Olly North figure - pleading the Fifth and zipping it to the end. But no - so this should be a show worth watching. Also, as has been pointed out on less select social media, all Trump's Cabinet appointments were (supposedly) vetted by Mike Pence. So he''s in the frame as well.

Hey, nice to see you back, old friend :D .

In other news, Trump has thrown the gauntlet at the feet of the Freedom Caucus. Since in my opinion, the religious looney right in the US is even worse than Trump, I see this development with some relief. Wouldn't it be the joke of the century if Trump had to organize majorities left of the Freedom Caucus, and came to a successful Preidency, actually passing laws that actually stand scrutiny in courts and actually have broad support, by co-operating with Democrats, of all people? Would we laugh, wouldn't we.

I missed that, although I had seen he'd taken a shot at the Heritage Foundation, which could prove very bad for business. As for being forced to pass sensible laws with the cooperation of the Democrats, I think that Trump is too pig-headed to do it. But ... if the Flynn scandal does run long enough to take down both him and Mike Pence, the next in line is the Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan. And him I can see doing some sane deals.

I have no idea why the CIA would even bother to deny the existence of a presidential hit squad; do you think there might be hill tribes in New Guinea who don't know about it? The previous Führer spoke quite openly about it on television, on numerous occasions.

That's all ROW, so it doesn't count.

I don't think the issue is that the victims are ROW, word is that the assassin-in-chief Obama lectured Duterte on extra-judicial killing, and the victims of Duterte's dirty war on drugs fall into the ROW category. The problem is only when the perpetrator is ROW.

I don't think Obama or any other President ever had other Americans killed on U.S. soil by Federal agencies. Or is there any known case where that happened?

Nor did call they for their supporters to be given legal immunity for running down protestors. To answer Arneb's question, I thought of Kent State, but it turns out that was the Ohio National Guard, not a Federal agency.
