The South Park creators state that what's actually happening is much funnier than anything they can come up with.

Ah, that must be what he's talking about.

Thanks.

I came across this. Don't ask me how I ended up there, I have no idea. It is the suggestion that there should be a general strike by women on a designated date. From the comments it seems that going on strike involves (a) asking your boss for time off, (b) being able to afford that time off, (c) not causing any disruption. Either I fundamentally misunderstand how strikes work or they do.

So they're going on strike because of something the government did? I guess that would make sense if you worked for the government. If you work for someone else, I'm not sure this will be a very effective protest.

I think they are conflating "general strike" with "non-specific protest".

See? Liberals are stupid, too! I blame the Bowling Green massacre for the chilling effect on post-secondary education.

We must honor the memory of the brave patriots who died that day!

Wanker has 20,613,433 "likes" on Facebook.

I wonder if the Dragon is one of them.

It wouldn't surprise me.

I actually unfollowed him on Facebook. He's too far gone. He was comparing the natural gas line to your home to a crude oil pipeline through sacred Indian lands. If you don't believe in one you should disconnect the other or you are a hypocrite. I don't know what happened to him. It's a shame.

Edited to change wording.

Depending on his meaning; I have a bit of an issue with the definition of sacred Indian lands. By some definitions, I live and work on sacred Indian lands. And there are many, many pipelines which are buried here.

Okay, they may have been my words. It's been a few weeks so I don't remember exactly what was said.

How about we substitute "crude oil pipeline" instead?

All of your land is sacred to me, so I now expect that any use of that land will be consistent with my belief system.

Back to Mr.Star, I suspect the workplace. If you are surrounded by "Why them people oughta..." all day long, it starts to rub off.

There could be a lot of that in it. Doesn't he work with a lot of Hispanic labour though? Or is that the problem?

I thought construction too, and he was some kind of overseer with Hispanic minions, but it was never clear to me if he liked them or not. I guess he doesn't.

My mother didn't like black people...except the ones she knew. THEY were OK. SO he may not like Mexicans, except the ones he works with, THEY are an OK group it turns out. Or something.

I grew up in a town of 30,000 people that had one black person in it, a Kenyan who was a pharmacist at the hospital. Small town Scotland in the 1970s and 80s. He would have been literally the only black person many of the population had ever met and he was universally liked and respected. He was voted in as a local councillor time after time. By people who didn't like or trust blacks.

I liked everyone from an early age. Until I was beaten repeatedly on the school bus by the black kids for being the "stupid, four-eyed, brace face". I still remember that, and it's hard to get past.
