So he said Woodward's book was fake and he would write 'the real book'.
Dana Milbank has provided a glimpse of what could be with his submission for the jacket cover: :D

Before Donald Trump became president, there was 42 percent unemployment, most of the residents of Chicago had been murdered, the violent gang MS-13, led by Nancy Pelosi, controlled much of the country, President Barack Obama personally tapped Trump’s phones and Ted Cruz’s father assassinated John F. Kennedy.

Then, in November 2016, Trump won a bigger electoral landslide than Ronald Reagan’s, despite millions of fraudulent votes for his opponent. Immediately, American carnage ceased, every African American got a job, the economy became “soooo good, perhaps the best in our country’s history,” and Trump was more popular than Abraham Lincoln.

Despite the fact Trump had Made America Great Again, Democrats, aided by the failing New York Times, the Amazon Washington Post and fake-news CNN, used a phony dossier to start a rigged witch hunt. There was NO COLLUSION, but leaking liar James B. Comey, mentally disabled Jeff Sessions, angry conflicted Democrat Robert S. Mueller III, so-called judges, the corrupt FBI and the “Justice” Department made Joseph McCarthy look like a baby!

Fortunately, Trump summarily declared them all guilty of treason, did the same to the rest of his opponents and then assembled the largest audience ever to witness an execution, period. Now he is president for life and, when he speaks, people sit up at attention.

Speaking about the storm Florence, Trump said "This is a tough hurricane. "One of the wettest in terms of water."

Gotta run, I have to notify the Nobel Committee.

I don't get it. He's not stupid. Why does he always sound like a 6th grader?

If you watch recordings of Trump 20 years ago, there’s quite a difference in the way he speaks relative to today.

Are you absolutely certain about that?

Even in the early days of "The Apprentice" he didn't sound as bad. Honestly, when we first heard he was running we were pleased, but then we started paying more attention to him and did a complete 180.

Many people have said he's completely different when the lights are off and the cameras aren't running. I don't know. All I see is a moron.

No. I just don't think you can get as far as he has being as much of an idiot as he appears to be.

I've heard he's a total suck-up in person. Wouldn't know, I've never met him. I've never met any US president. I am told that as a very young child, I met someone who was trying to become a US president, but he got his head shot off.

The kid in an alley in New York running a three-card monte scam can make tons of money, and need not be "smart". Trump is a BS artist, I give him that, but I don;t see any evidence of real intelligence.

They were shocked by people walking out of a performance they didn't like? I don't get it. You make a song mocking and denigrating someone, so maybe people liking that someone won't like the song. What is there to be shocked about?

I don't know. If I were travelling Texas and went to a country music festival to get a feel for the local music scene, and a performer would sing to me how Hillary should go to jail, how a nigger President dragged down America, how the brave policemen in U.S. cities defended society against a wave of black crime and how Angie Merkel needed a good old Texas oil drill up her fanny to give her some respect for the good ol' U.S.... Maybe I'd leave, too. I don't get how this is newsworthy

What I really, really dont't get is how everyone is "shocked" at the American tourists leaving. If you heap insult on a public figure (and that is what I take "less than flattering" to mean), some people will clap and some will get angry. So what? To be good at lashing out and then being "shocked" at the reaction seems like a particular form of hypocrisy to me.

Meanwhile, 500 or so miles to the south, I chaired a guest lecture at SOAS by a US former trade negotiator, now academic. Very, very powerful. He took us through the history of US trade politics since 1776 (literally!), explaining very, very clearly, how much time and struggle against highly concerted opposition had gone into getting the US to the point where it lowered tariffs, generally favouring free trade over protectionism. And in a brief conclusion, he said, "And now Trump is tearing all that up." Nobody walked out of that one.

On a side note, this thread has not been showing up in my 'view new posts' (link in right sidebar, portal page).
Today it showed up, 4 previous posts did not. Up to the 23Oct. post it was always showing up.

Any one else experience this glitch with this or other threads?

Happy solstice.

Today watching a news station, the reporter mentioned that "today is the shortest day of the year, so President Trump has less time to Tweet."

Closerer and closerer...

If the FBI shows up early one morning at the White House with a lawful warrant to arrest Trump, will the Secret Service let them in?

Found on Facebook (and rewritten a little for cadence):
Trumpty Dumpty sat on his wall
Trumpty Dumpty had a great fall
All his supporters, old silly white men
Couldn't make 'Merica g-reat again
