I've thought a few times lately of the irony that Republicans now forget the line of another Republican President, "Mr Gorbachev, tear down that wall!" Although of course, that President, like the current one, was talking about a wall that some people could cross more easily than others. But there's too much depressing in the world right now - every so often we need some light relief: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2Y5Zgp3a0c

I find it scary rather than relieving...

How did they do it? Is this original or did they just slow down the replay?

Yes, they just played the footage at half-speed.

Meanwhile, loved the way that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tore into the current political finance system - including pointing out that a number of the rules that apply to Congresspersons don't actually apply to the President.

Nobel Peace Prize

Oh I love it. Trump announces he has been nominated for the prize by the Japanese. He neglects to announce that he ASKED them to.

Nominations are supposed to be secret. Perhaps someone told him he was nominated, but he might need to use the NSA to determine whether he is being told the truth.

Do it the tradiational way. Login to our mind-control app, select New from the Actions menu, chose at least five eligible nominators from the Certified Controllees list (it'Äs probably a good idea to chose at least one Non-Western politician, but the NYT editor-in-chief should definitely be among them), set Control Intensitiy to 4 amd Flavour to "enthusiastic"; Nudge Freqquency should be about 4 a month. Under Action Class, there should be a "Positive PR" option, then under Specify, enter Nobel Piece Prize. That should get us at least 10 shoutouts and not cause anyone to notice.

But who am I telling this? You programmed that beaty, it should be a piece of cake to you.

We're coming up on our 14th anniversary in 3 months. I completely forgot!

Thanks! Nominations submitted.

Oh, he's a known and admitted liar. He's certainly lying about all this now. Poor, poor Trump.

At least he has a good relationship with that great leader of a great people, Kim Jong Un, while Europe in general and GErmany in particular are "foes".

Trump is getting his state visit this June, presumably he had to be invited for the commemorations for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Of course he didn't turn up for the Centenary of the Armistice so who knows. Phil the Greek will be locked in his cupboard and Wee Betty will likely be washing her hair. Let the Wingnut deal with him.

Any handwriting experts or psychologists to figure out why Trump signed this where he did?

Wow.

I wonder what the signing order was. For one thing, there isn't much room left at the bottom. Had he been the first to sign, I think it would have looked more like John Hancock's signature here.
