Not finding a whole lot about her or her positions, but Eric Holder apparently trusts her judgement. I certainly hope my judgement is never so bad that Eric Holder trusts it.

Here is a rundown of DJTs first week in office. It comes in a man who is as right-wing as they get, or at least, as right-wing as they got when the Republicans last held power on the Federal level. He can be reliably put into the Cheney-Rumsfeld-Rice neocon triangle.

I agree with many points in this article, but judging from the last year or so, I really don't know where the man finds reason for his optimism that America will somehow get rid of DJT, maybe even ahead of time, through the resilience of her instittuions and citizens. I hope he is right, but I sure don't bet on it.

I don't know that I'd say that. In some ways, I suppose. He shares some common ground with Bernie Sanders on some of his economic policies. A lot of the right-wingers in his own party seem to hate his guts.

The person who claimed openly that he had the right to kill anyone (and who often did) just left office with a 58% approval rating. That's not a vote share, where some of the support might be from "lesser of two evils" votes - it's an approval rating in a poll.

So what exactly would Donald Trump have to do to get booted out of office? Shoot someone on live television? Rape a teenage boy at a press conference? Bring back slavery? Launch a nuclear attack on Mexico?

If there is an attempt to kick him out, any bets on whether we'll see a Boris Yeltsin/1993 sort of situation?

During the Bush administration, the "Patriot Act" (America's Enabling Act) passed the house 357-66, and the senate 98-1. Drone Man won a Nobel Peace Prize. Around here, I've heard some Americans criticise the "War on Terror". They don't seem bothered by the 1.3 million or so innocent victims; in fact, they don't seem to have thought of the victims at all. They complain about how much it costs. Apparently, the people getting killed aren't the victims; the people who have to pay for the killing are the victims.

And now there is Trump. The US didn't stop Bush, they didn't stop Obama, why would they stop Trump?

To be fair to the Nobel Committe, he got that when it wasn' all too apparent he would be Drone Man.
As for the last point, what Lance said. You know, its' rather normal to only see the evils of a situtation when you are n the receiving end. We have those neo-Nazi guys here who get all teary and righteous every year for the cruelty of the Dresden bombing. They are capable, with total conviction, to overlook that strike had a little intro of tens of millions of people murdered by those who they say Made Germany Great Again.

Apart from a few details, this story is correct. The attacks are not in Europe, but in places like Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., and they are being carried out by the United States. But they do get very little media coverage.
