NZ's next Prime Minister?

Postby tubeswell » Tue Aug 01, 2017 9:53 am

Election is only 8ish weeks away, and the biggest opposition party purged their old leader for a newer model today.

[misogyny mode]I'd stick my X in her box[/misogyny mode]

I've never heard of her either. Is she a moderate progressive, or a Trump like clown?

[1970s mode] I hear she's very big Down Under . . . [/1970s mode]

From a quick google she seems like a reasonable person but I'll defer to Tubes on that.

Jacinda is a classic whiskey drinkin' leftie and good on the podium.

In that case, were I inhabiting your crazy upside-down part of the world, I probably would put my X in her box.

Since the current PM has the surname "English" I don't see any other choice than the whisky drinkin' leftie.

Edit: Not my zoo and not my monkeys; but after a quick googling I'd probably vote Labour. In the US it would be Democrat (as the less worse option), in Germany I'd be somewhere on the SDP/Die Grünen/Die Linke spectrum and in Singapore the Democratic Party simply because of the logo. Canada possibly the NDP but more likely the Liberals though I would need to spend more time checking. Germany and Canada might have a regional slant as well.
