R.I.P. Christo

One of the giants of modern art died today, age 84. He transformed landscapes, buildings, cultural heritages, together with his wife of almost 50 years, Jeanne-Claude. When he presented his maybe greatest work, the Wrapped Reichstag, I was away doing a final-year stint in Porstmouth, my was I miffed.

Here's to a great personality, a sensitive and endlessly sensitive human being, a truly great artist.

Collection of his works

Just saw this. He was quite the object of discussion for one of my art profs. He always seemed to think big.
Is there such a thing?
