[tedious Scottish tangent]I've never been to Dingwall but it has the familiar look of all wee Scots towns: the Post Office looks like a post office, the RBS branch is in the old Royal/National style, the National Hotel looks like most of the railway hotels, the war memorial has a "come and have a go ya bastards" figure rather than a sombre, mourning one, etc. Unusually there are two memorials. Is there a Seaforths one and a general one?[/tedious Scottish tangent]

I don't know the film though.
Get it up ye.

[tedious Scottish tangent]There are three! The Dingwall War Memorial, covering WWI and WWII, a Boer War one AND your Seaforth one. I like Dingwall. I lived there for the first time in the early 1990's, but moved away. I moved back there last year.[/tedious Scottish tangent]

Hmm. You are probably the only person here I could reasonably expect to have seen it.

It stars an Australian actress who started out in a soap opera.

Мастер wrote:I have no idea, but did they put the security camera in before or after that happened?

I'm pretty sure it was there before. I used to play for their football team, and sometimes it could be a bit rough, but I don't remember any real life defenestrations.

[tedious Scottish tangent]It was the Boer War one which fooled me, they aren't that common and it has the Seaforth crest on it. The actual Seaforth one is a bit "school project" for me but I'm a traditionalist in these things.[/tedious Scottish tangent]

Doesn't help me unless it was Kylie. It wasn't that one about werewolves was it?

[tedious Scottish tangent]It looks a bit "school project" because the wooden cross was originally put up in the village of Fontaine Notre Dame in France in November 1917 in honour of the Seaforth Highlanders who were killed nearby during the Battle of Cambrai. It was moved to Dingwall in 1924 and set into that monument. I love it, as it's a direct link back to the battle, unlike most memorials.[/tedious Scottish tangent]

[even more tedious Scottish tangent]It's no coincidence that this features the same emblem as this.[/even more tedious Scottish tangent]

Not Kylie - this actress started in the other Aussie soap. Also, no, not Dog Soldiers (a favourite film of mine, though it is!)

Another clue?
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

I doubt anybody will have heard of it, so I think I'll just identify it as A Lonely Place To Die and give another, more recognisable, one.

There are many correct answers for this commonly used location.

Not 'Allo 'Allo, and I don't think any Pink Panther stuff was ever filmed there. The scattergun guessing technique is a good one in this case, though, as it's featured in over a dozen films and TV shows.

It was recently repeated here in the UK. I watched one to see if it was actually as terrible as I remembered it being. It was, if anything, even worse.
