You can say this, but you still won't admit how much you love her?

How come?

Is that really safe? Would it be best to go outside, or stay in the building?

Stand or sit in a doorframe of an open door. Its the least likely to collapse.

When I lived in San Diego I felt a few very small ones. Barely strong enough to move the rabbit ears on the TV.

When I lived in Kentucky my family ran a marina on the Ohio River. There was a fairly large earthquake but I didn't feel it. I was on a boat at the time. The only thing I saw was a couple large, rolling waves that went across the lake. Kinda cool 8)

Speaking of marinas, does anyone here go boating?

LMAO, just messing with KOS's head. I'm evil that way ;)

You really are supposed to stand in a doorframe. If outside, stay out if in don't run outside.

Oh yeah and DON'T PANIC!!!

Well, then you're just trapped until power is restored or help arrives I suppose. You should face East in the elevator too though.
That's a mighty young Stalin you're sporting these days. Quite handsome.

So there are no mechanisms to help you get out in these situations?

Not that I know of. My mom's boss was trapped in Sears for like 8 hours after the big quake in Alaska. She broke her leg but was otherwise ok. At least as ok as Alaskans can be. ;)

Wow. I was just thinking, buildings have all these external stairs and balconies to assist people getting out in case of fire, but if you're in a lift during an earthquake, you've got scrat...

You know, he did grope me in the movie theater once. I'll let him explain that one.

Jimmy, I'm... um... *borrowing* your presents tonight. Yeah. Some of the presents, anyway. So, I can't ship them by mail. Tell Katie I said "Blah!" Moosedoom will get over the tripping. She didn't even complain to me in an e-mail.

I'm coming back on Saturday! I miss you guys! I only have time to read two threads! (this one and myh science fair thread)...
