No, the point is for it to keep you from sleeping at specific, well-defined times, not all the time...

So far. But the clock on the wall is counting down the seconds to your demise. Listen to the sound it makes...

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...
In my hands I hold a candle whose flame is small to see, And if I give but one light to you my life is filled for me.
But...In your hands you hold a torch for many eyes to see, So hold it high that they may light their candlewicks from thee.

KOS, I used to have a clock like that - eventually it got so the ticking sound lulled me to sleep and I really missed it when I travelled.

I was thinking today about vocations... I thought I might have been a good doctor, I like diagnosis and while I can be sympathetic I don't get too involved in other people's sorrows.

PS for St. J: if you really don't know, it's "East, West, home's best".

Dude, we've already had this discussion. It's okay. It's been like that for a couple of weeks now.

And besides...

You are "Protector of The Realm". Joffan is just "Protector of The Llama".

Since all the llamas (that matter) are within the realm, your responsibility is obviously far greater than Joffan's. I mean, come on... He just won his title in a game.

Heck, if you read it right, it could also be said that you are "Protector of The Joffan" too.

The only good bonfire is a dead bonfire. They're pretty dull, just burning stuff, sparks shooting up, firelit smiles, too hot and too cold at the same time...

Oh all right I enjoy them too, but they're an autumn activity really.

It's ear schrapnel...like fingernails down a chalkboard. He's just all hopped up on energy drinks, it'll wear off in a few hours and he'll be back to his loving reptilian self.

Sorry for not keeping up with American slang, but what is 'noob'? Or no0b, or any of the other permutations I've seen.

I would have thought "noob" was net-wide, not just American.

It means "newbie". A naive new user.

I've been to Scotland. Very lovely place. Couldn't understand a word anybody said although supposedly they were speaking English.
