So, mighty Joffan,

Do you have any ideas for what a good rank for a former winner might be, once you pass your wreath on to the next winner?

Tricky to get the wording right...

Retired Assassin... no
Former Assassin... too pedestrian

Ah, of course... Assassinatus!

now we need some ranks, just in case any one manages multiple wins.
order of the ... Stiletto, Kris, Sgian Dubh ... Cosh, Blackjack, Lead pipe... Garrotte, Tripwire, ... Strychnine, Curare, Arsenic ...

It's somewhat like the World Series, isn't it?

From the time you win, you are the defending champion until the next series. But the big difference is, though it is safe to assume you are playing this time we can't know for sure. If you aren't, are you still the defending champion? And at the same time, does it really matter?

I guess defeneding or not, you remain the champion until a new champion is crowned. Then the question is simply what to call you then. I must apologize to you for not having this more thought out to start with.

On my old gaming forum/game server, we regularly had The Order of the Golden Shoe tournaments. I had a system in place there for how many times you won a tournament, but it became cumbersome and we didn't even do it that much. Oh well, it'll work out one way or another.

Well now, if that is the kill word, you're dead. If it is not, I'd say this was an unsuccessful counter-assassination attempt, wouldn't you?

Yep, but I'm still going to keep an eye on you, wily KOS.

I'm such a laggard. But appearances are, no one has me in his crosshairs yet.

I missed the race trying to study. Never had my car burgled. I happen to like approval voting. Love flying, but never get to fly.

All right, I'm caught-up and/or dead.

I'm pretty sure you can't counterassassinate after you're dead. That would be unreasonable.

On the posting frequency thing, if I post on Tuesday say 9pm, when would I die if I don't post again?

That certainly makes the most sense...

You would already be dead by then, because it's more than 48 hours from now. I think.

You don't see much lime colored duct tape out west where I am.
What's with you easterners and your weird duct tapes?

Lemon lime flavored duct tape?

In the service the machinist mates back in the engineering spaces like to use duct tape to mummy rap any unsuspecting newbie cone head who found themselves alone in the engine room. Usually targeted the know-it-all smartasses, but when they were bored, and slow moving target would do.

I hate flying, give me a nice drive in country anyday. :D

One time when I was 10, my dad took me by his office. His phone rang and when he put it to his ear, he found the earpeice had been covered with mustard. He was in the Air Force at that time. I guess all servicemen enjoy practical jokes on their down time. :)

Mustard on the phone? Clearly a tomato-based condiment would be more suited for use on a phone.

Trying to study for my finals. I'm fairly confident about my nuke course, but diff.eq is killing me. I can't remember anything from the first two chapters. And I can find the whatchacallem solutions to nonhomogeneous equations.

Yes!

Now this is an appropriate use for ketchup.

I agree, ketchup has been thoroughly examined in this forum.

Lets focus on St. Jimmy and hippie's budding romance instead.
