Ya know, the funny thing is when I first saw that grainy thumbnail picture on the news sites, I thought she was wearing something to cover the nipple. I was going to guess "the things that Janet Jackson was wearing" as the answer to the puzzle but wasn't familiar with the word "pasties".

So I headed over to Wikipedia to make sure I had the right person... and found out from their much more detailed photo that she wasn't wearing them after all. #-o

IIRC, wasn't there a fad a few years started by "Sex in the City" where women would put fake nipples on their bras?

Anyway, so who's next? By my reckoning, it should be umop.

Why are we posting everything in spoilers? This can make FireFox very angry :(
Oh, who knows. If we post in spoilers, then no one else can see, right?

It is like loud whispering.

I don't know how to make clever links into words, so here are some pasties:

http://www.twirlygirl.net/products/images/p2011.jpg

Oddly enough I placed that there by using the "paste" function...

Of you google "pasties" you will find all dorts of them, along with the Michigan culinary delight also called a pastie. The breast covers are pronounced like paste, adn the food item is pronoubced like past, as in not present.

Bah, I hate that show. Used to like it but they did one episode that changed my mind.

Yes.

I should probably try pinto beans sometime, although I'm not much for beans anyway so probably wouldn't care for 'em. Although there's a restaurant walking distance from my home in which this one time the manager was serving everyone little cupfuls of what he called Redneck Caviar: little bits of beans, diced vegetables, and I'm not sure what else all mixed together in some kind of sweet liquid. Really good stuff.

They were originally called "Perks" but are now apparently called "Body Perks". I have never seen "Sex and the City" but I think CNN or Good Morning America mentioned the "craze" when it began.

I may have already mentioned this one.

The old lady really like Sex and the City, so I am forced to watch it from time to time. I made an observation in the show's opening sequence, and I shared it with her just to show her "how depraved men really are."

In the opening montage, Sarah Jessica Parker is on a street curb when a bus rolls by and splashes her with a large puddle of water. She is wearing a pink clingy sweater. When the water hits her, it brings her nipples up. I don't think they are fake, since you can watch the process in action.

Innocence is lost.

And geez are those women neurotic. That show makes my teeth itch.

Considering the source, it just might be a play on words. And not all that clever a play at that.

Aid is assistance, and an aide is an assistant.

My guess would be a bra.
