Y'know what really freaks me out? These stupid "UFO Hunter" shows on the Sci-Fi channel, or whatever channel this is that my tv is on right now.

Not because I think there's the slightest bit of realism to the useless reenactments, heavily edited "expert testimony", or cheesy special effects, but... mysterious lights in the sky and the iconic bug-eyed gray aliens. Somehow those things freak me out more than zombies, werewolves, axe murderers, or any other horror movie staple, and I don't know why.

That, and butterflies. Butterflies freak me out.

And those eight-legged spider things... Daddy Longlegs? Not actual spiders, mind you, those are harmless, but Daddy Longlegs. *shudder*

Is that weird? :?:

Enzo, check out "The alphabet game". Which has now been on hold for two weeks, as a courtesy to you.

If you Google "Kristallnacht" but spell it incorrectly, you get a bunch of web sites that seem like they were written by people with a level of literacy no higher than my own.

You can learn a lot watching dopey "science" shows on tv. I had no idea that salt was such a destroyer of stone as it is.

Himself mowed and used the weed-eater yesterday, so when I got home, I trimmed the hedges, etc. Nasty job, that, because we have this HUGE confederate jasmine growing around my mailbox, and the sap from that is white and sticky and gets all over me. But if I don't trim it, the mail carrier can't get to it!

According to her MySpace, "Julez [kanojo no kanojo] is content, fulfilled, and happy for once in her life."

She was going through a tough period a bit back, ( also not very happy about the prop 102 thing as you can imagine) but apparently she found a new friend and is really happy these days. :)

Wow. Snow in the rain capital of Germany. Of course, when I am on call. Luckily, after I had the winter tires fitted.

The wallpaper on my computer is a teeeeny baby marmoset clinging to a human's index finger. It's adorable.

("Winter tires"...what a concept.)
