These words were spoken by another actor to Humphrey Bogart.

Was it the WWII one where he's taking refugees out of France or something?

It shares a name (but little else) with an Ernest Hemingway novel.

Since the Old man and the Sea is not the answer, I googled it and can find no reference to a movie. (???) I can picture either Bogart (or maybe Anthony Quinn) in that role. There MUST have been a movie :?:

My guess has already been given by KLA2, and that's about the only Bogart title I know.

I'm still drawing a blank on the name, and am trying to resist IMDb.

To have, or not to have.
That is the question ...

Oh, crap. Not.
Give it up.

To Have and [strike]to[/strike] Have Not

I think that's close enough...

The Vichy guy was plying Mr. Eddie with drink to try to get information about Humphrey Bogart's late night smuggling expedition out on the water. But Eddie stuck with the cover story that they went fishing. When Humphrey Bogart came in, the Vichy fellow made this comment to him...

Yep. That's the one I was thinking of! I just couldn't come up with the title without cheating.

Good for you, TA! Even when KOS gave it out, I barely lucked onto it. Never read the book, or saw the movie. Just somehow recognized the title (after having it pointed out twice.)

KOS, what is there about "be kind" you do not understand? :P

OK, I turn my turn (overturn???) to anyone else. How about some new blood here ... movie quote, please ...

And hey ... be kind.
