Deterministic Comments

All the game threads. (It's only teenage wasteland.)

Define exist and time.

exist - time

So are you going to pick one of the definitions or just let me pick one?

But the Random Comments thread did have real being whether material or spiritual without this one, for quite some a prison sentence.

Looks like a false statement to me.

Oh, I guess you can pick.

It didn't hurt that Random Comments was started by the most loved person on the forum...

That is not dead which can eternal lie
And with strange aeons even death may die.

Very well, since there have been so many requests in the increasingly less random Random Comments thread, here is the non-random complement to it. This thread having lain dead these past eleven months, I can't guarantee that it won't collapse and die once again, or even run amok and kill us all in an orgy of zombie brain-eating.

Still, if you're uncomfortable saying something non-random in Random Comments, but don't feel like making a new thread for some reason, feel free to post in this one.

hippie: Indeed, Random Comments was started by a truly beloved member of the forum. This thread, much less so.

TA: Must have pics! I know, I know, it's not happening.

KLA2: Sara Evans ought to be totally available now. Or did I miss a quick remarriage following her divorce? Whichever the case, I'm probably just stuck staring at the cover images from her latest album, which look suspiciously like the product of some of my brain's more imaginative fantastical romps.

Squee: Yes, it really would be cool to be able to speak Polish. I've been trying to learn Tagalog out of a few books for years, and all I've learned is that I can't learn languages out of a book.

:glp-applause: OK! Here's the plan! Anytime someone wants to follow up on a comment in Random Comments, they just quote it and state "Go to DC". Or use the right arrow thingy. DC

Unless someone has a better plan.

Oh, and since this is not a game, should it not be moved to "Here There be Llamas"?

Oh, I see what happened, now. They mocked you. They mocked your thread.

Well, they mocked Galileo. They mocked Einstein. They mocked Hassenfras. (Well, they were right to mock Hassenfras. He was an idiot.)

But now, now they see the value of your thread. You are a contenda! :=D:

(And if I learn to spell, you could be a contender!)

There were no pictures, and my butt does not hurt. :D

Now, if there had been an audio recording....Well, I *was* drinking vodka martinis, so if you know the old Tom. T. Hall song...

Whiskey's too rough,
Champagne costs too much,
And vodka puts my mouth in gear.

This little refrain
Should help me explain
As a matter of fact,
I like beer!

Uh, TA, didn't you get the notice? No one post to this thread for a SECOND time, causing pmcolt to go mad with grief, spending his remaining days muttering "Why, why?" and pulling old threads out of a lama hair shirt? :glp-muaha:

(Shhh. He's looking this way. Act nonchalant.) 8)

Due to a heavy volume of work, my posting time here is temporarily compromised. But don't get your hopes up ... like a bad tie after Christmas ... I shall return.

Past a certain age, isn't "Happy Birthday" an oxymoron? :P

Yeah, yeah, I know ... consider the alternative.

Not to imply that Lance or most other members of this board are "past a certain age" ...

Happy early birthday, Lance! May this be one of the better birthdays of the rest of your life. Oh, but not the best. That way you still have something to look forward to later.

If I'm counting correctly, that makes you 4 years older than my husband.

DOH! Forgot that 5 occurs in EACH year starting with 50.

12 times. I think. I ran out of fingers at 10.

Reviewing old threads. MM Dandy, can you please explain to my poor feeble brain what "smack" means? I know it it is a term for hitting, or heroin. Neither seems appropriate in this context. :?

Really?

The Urban Dictionary wrote:1. smack talk

The art of telling another person off, belittling them or calling their momma fat, while in the heat of competition.

Man, your mamma so fat she got her own zip code!

You can't play madden dawg cause you broke ass and your plays are weak!

2. smack talk

A variety of threatening language, often used as an implied precursor to physical violence.

"If my brother dated my ex-girlfriend, I'd rub his ass out"

"Oh, believe me, as soon as I'm alone with my brother, there will be some serious ass-rubbing"

"Dude, you shouldn't try smack talk."
