Be glad she dosen't roll in it - then shake!

(Tell her to "stay" then wipe her feet and belly with a towel before letting her in? Maybe a quick rinse with the hose first?)

Hose her off... Yeah, that's be good. She's like a big sponge.

If I git her wet like that she get everything muddy AND wet. And then she's be a big, wet, stinking dog.

Maybe not.

Yeah, not. It's not good for them to be caged 24x7. Which means birdshit, or get rid of the bird, and if I can help it, Sunshine ain't goin' no where. (It really didn't take long for us to bond.)

 The feet, Lance, just the feet. Then dry them with a towel.

A strateigically placed hook to hold the leash while you perform the proceedure may help. Some gravel on the ground outside the back door, where I assume you would do this (if the ground there is muddy) may also help.

That's far too much work. It is, after all, Cyndi's dog (when she's bad or messy).

As opposed to "Lance, rent a steam cleaner this weekend. We (means "you") need to clean all the carpets again." :glp-furious: :ut-hammerhead:

We have one. We have one of those Hoover Steam-Vacs.

Do you know how frustrating it is to have muddy dog-prints on the carpet when it isn't even dry yet from being cleaned?

^ Something tells me you are preaching to the choir here, Lance.

Any tips, TA? (We have three dogs, but they are all small. You computer folk understand the value of a small footprint ... :P )

Yeah, my tip is get rid of the carpet. (That's much less likely to cause marital strife than trying to get rid of the dog.) We put in ceramic tile through out all of the house except the bedrooms. Run the vacuum and you're done.
