Any Facts that Fit the Numbers

PostPosted: Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:10 pm

This is similar to a game I played passionately at BAUT (The astronomical numbers game):

We count up from 1, mentioning a factoid (any factoid) that contains the number. Especially with the higher numbers, a link to the fact is appreciated. One number per post. Maybe this thread will meet the 1,000,000 thread somewhere 8)

I'll start with the first three for demonstration.

There is always (if things don't get messed up) 1 Pope of the Catholic church. [/b]

[On second thought: Shouldn't the thread be named "Any facts that fit the nubers?" instead of "Any number that fits"? Lance, maybe you could...]

Done, except for the typo.

Snow White had 7 Dwarves. Or did the 7 Dwarves have Snow White?

I guess it depends on which version of the movie you watched.

There are 13 figures in Da Vinci's "Last Supper" thus proving John is Mary Magdalene and that Dan Brown is less than 6000 years old. Or something.

I thought it was the other way around.

18 is the legal age in Germany. Other than in the US, for example, the only restriction that applies until the age of 21 works in your favour: You can be judged according to juvenile penal law if the judge deems you to be too immature for someone of legal age.

You're an adult at 16 in Scotland, though you can't drink or drive (or drink and drive).

21 is a good score in blackjack or pontoon.
