..yes we shall!

I suggest we play this round according to the Donington Chapter: No parallel slide (and hence, no rucksack without a "tartan pattern"), no Circle line crossover. OK?

Pimlico.

Oh poo, I am out of fare tokens, and under that convention I am not allowed to hop the gate.

Use an Oyster card - that's what I used last month, when I was here:

But I will move to Bank.

Wow. The battle lines have been drawn quickly this time.

I'm going to try something risky here.

Sloan Square

(I don't supose anyone other than me would want to play the next game on the Moscow Metro?)

Automatic translation, per chance? :P

How about утра-тоний полумесяц? I like that one a little better.

Um, well, it was late, a quick trip to BabelFish, and back, and... I studied Russian for a couple years, but that was 45 years ago.

It looked like "Crescenton Morning" :) But maybe the right thing to do is to transliterate "Mornington", rather than trying to translate. And perhaps add an adjective ending.

Actually I entered "morning ton crescent."

SInce it was not even a sentence, just three common words, it didn't occur to me it would change the word order. I thought about individual word translation to prevent that but figured I didn't need to...

Here, I just transliterated the "Mornington" part, and added and adjective ending.

Морнингтоний полумесяц

This style is not unheard of in Russia; there are now coffee shops all over the place with a name that is just a transliteration of "Coffee House" :P (with a substitute for "H", since Russian has none).

Of course, what we should really do is not translate or transliterate, but choose an actual station on the Moscow Metro. I vote for Лубянка (where the former KGB is).

Oh, and someone besides me make the next move.

Carpenders Park.

For the Moscow came, should that be in a separate thread? But starting so far north is a very bold move. I think I will try Novoslobodskaya.

That fact that Lubyanka is an interchange station really makes this a very different game, doesn't it?

Should take the pain out of Heid's penchant for putting me in nib via the London Bridge gambit.
