No to all those, it is an Italian detective series.

Alas none of these.
Perhaps it isn't as well known as I thought.

Ok, no-one knows Inspector Montalbano's house.
Let's try
this instead, I know at least two of you have seen it and one of you could visit it if they have a free half hour.

I'm not one of your Special Two, but I'm pretty sure I know that one. Run Lola Run?

Correct. I would also have accepted "Lola rennt".

Cool!
There are many possible answers to
this one, as it's in several films (including a big budget one last year). I'll accept any of them as correct.

In 1985 it had a supporting rôle in a low budget event called "Heid and the Memsahib's honeymoon" but I doubt it was that.

That's as maybe, but I don't think I could accept that as a valid answer......

No, it's not in Italy. I can't think of any Italian connections to anything that I know filmed there, either.

It's just a wild-ass guess, but The Wicker Man?

Nope.
A clue - in the most recent film, the location is identified on screen as the actual real location (but with a future date).

Further clueage: One of the films I'm thinking of stars Doug McClure. The other was a generally quite disappointing non-prequel.

I haven't seen Doug McClure on TV since The Virginian. I didn't even know he was in the movies.

I don't think he's in many, which is why I thought that clue was better than it looked.

I'm sure the clue is just fine - I, for one, am just ignorant.
By the way - very pretty scenery, that is.

Given the lack of progress here, I'll just announce that the two films I had in mind were
Prometheus and
The Land That Time Forgot.
Here is what I think should be a much easier one.

That is essentially a view frrom my childhood, my paternal grandfather brought back a bell in that shape of that building from his visit, my maternal grandfather had prints of there and several other nearby towns in his sitting room (the front one, the one you only went into when there were visitors). I have been a couple of times so I don't know if that precludes me from answering?
I would go with the almost eponymous film.
Sorry if I'm rambling a Church of England vicar has just bought me a fairly liquid lunch.

Shout it out! It sounds likely to be the one I was thinking of, although I suspect that building is in many.

There's no such thing as a free one, remember. Check your soul is where you left it.
