That's what I would have said, given that it's written as a caption on one of the pictures at the bottom of the screen when I click on the link.

I don't think that would apply, no.

Arneb wrote:Poltergeist?

Yes, that's the one.

Yeah!
Of course I found this out because of my deep knwledge of the horror film genre and not because of what Mactep saw, too! :^o :---)

Hmmm, I'm not sure I buy that. It would be easier to accept your "deep knwledge" (sic) if you actually had knowledge of how to spell "knowledge". [/gillianren]

Anyway, your turn.

That was one perfect emulation! I was starting to get angry when I read the [/...

This building saw better times, particularly in the gloriously funny film I am thinking of here.

I think it was used in more than one film then.

Well, there was the comedy, and then there was that drama.

Based on nothing other than the location being Berlin and the film being a 60's comedy, I'll offer (the original) Casino Royale as a guess.

I'm not sure I would describe Casino Royale as a "glorious comedy" and I suspect the Berlin scenes were shot on a studio lot in the UK but it is better than any guess I have.

Certainly correct on that first point, and I suspect correct on the second one also.

On digging round the area, it is just in West Berlin, is it a Cold War comedy? Is there such a thing? Set in an office block?

It's Prüfstützpunkte, if you please. And the film is not Casino Royale.

The film also had a prominent, and utterly hilarious scene at the Brandenburg Gate.
The building shown hasn't only seen better times - in those times, it served exactly the same function as it does in the film.

Some cross-pollination from Quotes:
1: Just between us, 2, what did you do during the war?
2: I was in der Untergrund: the underground.
1: Resistance fighter?
2: No, motorman. In the underground, you know, the subway.

Of course it is. I knew I would be wrong, just not the particular type of wrongness.
