Good eye. The Gibson flick did have that scene at the Queensboro and it may have been those chimneys from the back side.

I do have one film in mind for
this location, but will take any correct answer that also uses that view/the exterior!

I’m already regretting this choice, it’s a VERY used location. No WW2 films I could see though.
Turns out that a Connery Bond film used the location, but not the building exterior. It’s in many films, from the 60’s to the present day.

It’s definitely in one Bond I know of, but I think I’ve mostly seen it in comedies. The film I had in mind is a comedy.

It’s a Connery Bond it’s in, but also many other films - mainly comedies. In the last few weeks I’ve seen it in a film from the 60’s and a film from a couple of years ago.

For European Vacation definitely, but it didn't use that building. The comedies I've seen it in are all British.

British comedy? A Carry On? Carry on nurse?

I didn't know it was in that, but it turns out that's a correct answer!
.
It was
Carry On Camping I had in mind, as I saw some of it the morning I posted the clue.
.
It's also the SPECTRE HQ in
From Russia With Love, and is in dozens of other films.

I suspect it crops up in pretty much every low budget British comedy, or rather every British comedy.

This location is used in a film with several connections to the last location.

No clue, so I'll guess it was a WWII filum.

Not WW2, though the nearby military base is a clue.

A bit early for him, it is a 1964 film.

That's Clem, a guy Walken plays in
Joe Dirt. At some point in the movie he reveals he is in witness protection, and his "real" name is Gert Frobe.
I thought it vaguely familiar so I googled it. Guess what's the name of the actor who played Auric
Goldfinger ?

Ah, I didn’t get the link, yes it’s Goldfinger. Shirley Easton who was in carry on Nurse, gets painted gold in Goldfinger.
