Me too. Ferkel is a piglet. So maybe a bit less 'ferkel' here and more 'red herring'. ;)

Actually, that's OK. In German, you call a kid (or grownup, as the case may be) a Ferkel when they behave in generally unclean, unhygienic or simply annoying way - anything from nose-picking in public, spilling tomato sauce at the table, playing with food, spilling bodily residue while on the loo, walking into the hall with dirty shoes, etc., to using foul language. To an adolescent or even grownup, you could use the term to admonish them for making sexually charged remarks or telling dirty jokes. The noun Ferkel lends itself to verbalization: A "Ferkelei" is an act of behaving like e Ferkel as in, adolescent tells dirty jokes, mum blushes and barks "lass diese Ferkelei", or "hör auf, hier rumzuferkeln" - stop ferkelling around. So there is a case here. "Ferkeln" is not usually a term for having sex specifically, but it's no big stretch.

AFAIK, I introduced the term on this board to chide the boss and his perpetual obsession (as in , "labias") with stuff happening below the beltline. So just happily ferkel on!

There is that, too, although "Ferkel" is not remotely as derogative as "Schwein" is in German - as most diminutives, it is usedf with fondness and affection. And it has to be said, if you realize now what I've been calling you all those years, you are very late to the party.

Anyway, anyone in for the new graph?

The graph is about an activity two of our members are very used to, while most of us only partake in it infrequently.

A comparative analysis of three key figures pertaining to a (generally) non-sexual, (mostly) non sportive activity of worldwide economic significance. The numbers are for the whole world.

They tell a rather positive, reassuring story, tw.

The two memebers I am thinking of are Richard_A and Mavtep. To a lesser extent you could also include Heid the Ba'.

Something to do with flights? I note a possible covid dip in the first graph.

No to both. The first part of the graph contains an extremely simple metric. The key to the ultimate solution then is the fact that the first graph is scaled million-fold while the second and third are not.
