Good thing I don't plan on having a German kid...

I will tell you a story some time about a German family that were my neighbors sometime. But it's a REALLY long story...

Not to offend anyone, but Germans, in general, really are fucking crazy.

Heck, one whole side of my ancestry is ultimately from there, and I agree with your assessment. :P

Which is not surprising, really; the languages are all meshed together in that part of the world. French itself is practically a hodgepodge of Romanic, Germanic, and Celtic. Even Late Latin picked up a Germanic word here and there.

Uh, I suspect I did poorly, but it seemed like I had to join and give them my email addy to find out my score. I did however answer 23 of 23 questions. it said so.

If that's true then they've changed. :( But they've changed so much else on that site lately that I'm not surprised.

By "poorly", do you mean very high or very low? *slaps self* Be nice, umop.

I didn't have to. I just gave it root@localhost when it asked for an email addy and went on to take the test.

Yeah, but I won't get their spam.

At the end of the test it gives you a link that you can go to "in a couple of hours" to get your results. Yeah... Just copy and paste it into a new browser (or the same one, for that matter) and you'll get to the results page. The results also display at the top of the final test page, but without the descriptions of your rating IIRC.

Hmmm, 59 %, and I've lived here all my life.
Probably because they confuse being German with following certain Bavarian folklore. But doesn't everyone...?

Well, I'll share again a story of my own ignorance, since it seems appropriate.

We hear stuff in life and never really think about it. I recall in my younger days hearing the term Bush Bavarian. Never thought about it, and assumed it referred to some sort of German aboriginal people. Latter day Neanderthals or something. Now and then I would hear about bushmen somewhere and they would pop into mind for a moment. And sometimes I would gear of Bavarians, and once again a momentary thought wondering how the Bush Bavarians were doing would pass by.

Then one day when I was well into my 20s, I was having a cold beer, and I looked at the label which read: "Busch Bavarian."

Oh...

I don't know if Bavarian is still on the Busch beer labels, but it was 40-50 years ago.
