Bravo, Bill .... Bravo. Good sound advice.

How come I didn't think of saying that???? It just goes to show that Bill is just full of these words of wisdom.

Now all you Boys & Girls out there in Illuminati Land pay close attention to what Bill's has to say, and you're sure to gain a bounty of wisdom.

Bill, although not any genius, is not that bad, he just doesn't know when enough is enough.

Well, he also often fails to recognize unsound arguments he makes, or when he has lost a point.

When discussing Condi Rice for president a friend of mine told me that he would vote for Oprah or Woopie Goldberg instead. I told him if he knew that both Oprah and Woopie had admitted that they had considered suicide at one time and his reply was, “the way I look at it is, they are just being honest”

One never knows what goes through someone’s mind at the time when considering suicide. Anything and everything helps. What might seem obvious to us may not be obvious to others.

I highly doubt that someone seriously considering suicide will go out of their way to look at this forum; it has rather poor enough traffic, and the person closest to being likely to commit suicide is probably myself, and even that's very unlikely.

Further, someone that takes the advice of a complete online stranger, especially advice phrased in the way you phrased it, Thompson, is going to end up dead anyways as someone online tells him to kill himself. Especially if he's wandering onto random threads looking for advice.

This is why specialists who deal with suicidal people take time to learn what they're doing first, and who they're dealing with. Throwing words into the air doesn't work, handling their case personally and dealing with them as a person is the best way to get results.

Well, no, the two do not go hand in hand. It is not as if someone thinks, "I am thinking of killing myself... but first, let me see what illuminati-r-us.com has to say about this."

Perhaps they decide to kill themselves after reading IRU.

Can you please tell me how you know what a suicidal person is thinking, Bill?? Have you all of a sudden become psychic?? If so, I suggest that you go and see, Randi. Sound familiar??

There a a few type of suicide, conscious and unconscious to name a couple. The conscious seem to plan theirs out in advance a carry it out according to their script. Now the unconscious kind come in many forms. From suicide by cop to just spur of the moment.

Now there is a few types of self life takers that have deep emotional problems, such as depression. But these can also be broken down into different categories.

So tell me Bill, did you take all these types of categories into account when you made your assessment?? No?? Now how did I know that?? Could it be, because you are talking about something you know absolutely nothing about??

You cannot expect someone to care what you know unless they know that you care. Reading whatever you say and bothering to make any sense of it is pretty far down at the bottom of my TODO list.

We can imagine. And as a matter of fact I have some experience in dealing with these sorts of people and I see some patterns. Are you psychic in thinking that I don't know.

I do know a lot about it, Captain Supposition.

I would rather look into people who define themselves by arguing and inflecting distress in others unnecessarily. THese are the psychological profiles I am seeing lately.

Bill has been licenced to practise psycho-therapy online.

He just forgot to mention it.

Er, yes. That was my point.

No one's going to go out of their way to take your advice. If they took the advice of a random person on a messageboard, then they're impressionable enough to go decide to kill themself if they read something, like, say, Maddox's website.

Maybe you should have done some cursory research before replying.

In specific, the first thing that shows up in that google search is this.
