It should be deleted. Its inappropriate. Such a comment should have either been in the forum, emailed, or PM'ed. Any comments made here should have something to do with the actual article.

I think the issue is, sell himself to whom? The general public, or professional astronomers? He may well be doing the latter, I wouldn't observe that...
