I think it would be constructive if while posting on this website please remember that this place only exists because Lance fails to have any meaninful relationships in the real world.

You're posting in a forum where the majority either loathe you, or just want you to STFU about most of the things you don't STFU over. Either you're practicing an incredible amount of directed self-loathing, or you... just like people disliking you...

In fact, if you can bring up just ONE person, besides Candy, that actually loves what you say, and loves every post you make... or even the MAJORITY of posts you make... I'll eat my hat. The whole thing. Every bit of it. Even the chewy plastic part on the back.

Then, I'll eat my beard. It's high in fiber(s).

Bill got fired from his job at EADS and his wife has left him. The only way he knows to make himself feel better is to try to beat others down.

Anyone who knows him, knows that. I don't really care what he says because no one that matters takes him seriously.

Just for the record:

I don't care how much you've tried to piss me off, get on my nerves, personally insult me, or show glaring hypocrisy in all of your statements, I have this to say to Bill Thompson:

I am truly sorry you were fired from your job. I'm doubly sorry if it was because of downsizing or a similar reason, and not because of your actual performance (I don't know the situation here, I'm making no judgements, but I know getting fired is hard). I hope you have, or will eventually, find a good or even better job in the future.

I don't know the issue between you and your wife, and I really have no business caring. If she left you, then you have my condolensces. If she did not leave you, but has just been away for a while, you still have my condolensces; it can be hard to be away from the ones we love.

I cannot truly fault you, as a fellow human, for merely being an asshole on an internet forum; being an asshole online isn't due cause for me to revel in your pain. You are still a human being, and you still have feelings; and from the sounds of it, you have had reason to have negative feelings within recent times.

I hope the future looks better for you, just as I hope the future looks better for all of us.

I think that is the nicest and most thoughtful thing you've ever written, Wulfie. I am very impressed with how well you expressed yourself in such a kind way to someone you may not have had much reason to be so kind to. You make me remember why I respect and like you so much.
