Time to ditch the scarf

I know I have mentioned the carved soldiers in front of city hall, and every winter someone puts scarves on them.



But i don't recall posting a photo

I was going to ask if the scarf pattern was something symbolic, but I see they are alternating horizontal and vertical stripes?

I don't think there is any deep symbolism here. Just someone willing to be quirky. We like them.

Is it universally appreciated or do some people think they're vandals?

I doubt folks suspect vandals, they go up every year. I am sure there are sticks in the mud who don't see the humor.
