Off-Topic conversations about what ever you feel like talking about.

Postby Ikyoto » Sat May 20, 2006 12:22 pm

Towel - check.
Six pints ready to down - check.
Three bags of peanuts - check.

So what's to worry about?

I mentioned to one of my students who believes EVERY superstition that there is taht this date has come about before - in the years 6 CE, 106, 206, etc all the way up to 1906 - and everyone who paniced and jumped around like idiots was wrong. I also remined her about all the things that went wrong on January 1st, 2000 when all the computers went nuts and airplanes fell out of the sky.

I love nonsence like this. I've even got a card to send to people when I have a real mailing address "Sorry I missed your end of the world. Next time it happens give me a reminder call so I don't sleep through it again."

To date Nancy hasn't responded to any of the ones I sent her. Oh well.

GLP is all over the da vinci code, oddly, I did not see any mention of the sixes day. Of course I just lurked for a minute and didn't look very much, there may be a few threads I didn't see.
In my hands I hold a candle whose flame is small to see, And if I give but one light to you my life is filled for me.
But...In your hands you hold a torch for many eyes to see, So hold it high that they may light their candlewicks from thee.

I know there was one the other day, it probably has dropped off of the front page until closer to time.

Well, if someone here meets the AC on the 6th, would you please ask him for me if its true that he buried fossils all over the world to fool us into thinking the Earth is billions of years old?

I don't know much about geology, but if I remember my physics correctly, when Christ and Antichrist collide, you get some really huge fireworks.

God I love Frosties. Have one for me.

Right after the big "finger food" flap at Wendy's, they ran an ad campaign where they were giving away free frosties all weekend or something. I was right there when they opened. It was one of those tiny frostie juniors. Oh well, the price was right.

When you are driving, just don't drive 777 in a 666 zone, OK?

Indeed, it has happened.

Texas is in CDT right now, which is 2 hours ahead of me. Therefore that post, azazul's 666th, was submitted at 1:11 local time Tuesday morning.

This cool or what?

Good thing he posted then. If he had post at 6hrs 6min 6sec. after midnight, I'd hate to see what would have happened.

I'm posting this at about 1:35 AM 6-6-6, so far the world is still here, and no sign of the anti-Llama.

Myabe he took the cross town buss when he was supposed to grab the express? I like Llamas, but you know how horrible they are with directions. Last time I was on a road trip with a llama was fun - great conversationalists - but we never made it to the party.

The anti-Llama is here! The anti-Llama is here!

Postby MM_Dandy » Tue Jun 06, 2006 12:41 pm

Good morning, anti-llama. Did you sleep well? Would you like some pea soup for breakfast? What are your plans for the day? World domination, eh? Well, I for one welcome our new head-spinning, glowing red-eyed, supremely evil overlord.

Not only that but he used the word obliterate. Must be part of the evil plan.

KOS, that avatar is so not you. ;) But that fits what with Lance's being the anti-llama (looks great BTW!) and mine being an inverted not me.
