It's gotten me out of tickets before. Mine was as a Domino's pizza delivery driver. I just delivered a pizza to my apartment complex and left the exit without stopping. After I showed the officer my driver's license, he didn't give me a ticket. :wink:

Normally, the BA would PM me and say did you do this or that to get permission to post some of the stuff that I posted. I always did get permission, so it turned out okay.

Candy. seriously. you knew sock puppets were against the rules. how many people in the "banned posters" thread were banned because they were sock puppets? a lot, that's how many.

"everybody else is doing it" is an excuse that won't fly with my mother, much less the BA. it's a rule. you knew it. you broke it. you got banned. this is not the BA's fault; it's yours. you have never seemed to me to be very good at taking responsibility for your own actions, and in this case, you have to; there's no one else to do it.

I am going to restate my case for therapy, hon, and I don't know if you still hold over that particular Scientology belief, but if you do, you shouldn't. you've had a rough life, that much is obvious, and for that alone, you could stand the help. but it's becoming increasingly obvious to me that you let it affect your life in some really unhealthy ways, and you need to make that stop. you cannot do it alone, or anyway, you haven't been. it would really, really help you to see a therapist.

I have. You know what's funny? Therapist deem me normal. Some are actually surprised I am still alive. My psychology professor loved me, and even hit on me after class ended. He did say I was self-centered. I've been working on that aspect of my life. :?

I didn't want people to know I was Stardate. If I'd known you'd felt so strongly about knowing, I would've told you. You didn't post on the BABB any longer, so I didn't think it was that important to you.

What was important to me was that you were considering asking to be unbanned, and I was completely behind you in that matter. If you had merely told me that you had a sock, I would have said that logging out and not using it anymore would have been your best bet. I feel strongly about the way the board used to be - even though all I did 90% of the time was hang out in the GA forum.

Back when we were both relatively new there, I saw some of your posts and they made a good first impression - you became one of my favorite posters. When the BA booted you off suddenly (I had avoided reading the Scientology thread because it was of no interest to me) it was devastating. It seemed unjustified at the time. I thought your posts in that thread were just from being stressed out, but now this whole Stardate thing isn't consistent with the first impression that I had held on to for so long. It has been a major WTF moment.

I know others over at the BABB that are "sock puppets" by their posts. Other posters mention it in subtle ways, too, but it's like a mystery.

Because if they were open and freely admitted to it, they'd be banned.

I hope you didn't confuse against-the-rules socks with BA-sanctioned name changes; there are quite a few of them and they're all out in the open. When I had to change mine, he told me to simply reregister under the new name. I almost didn't because I wanted to keep my join date and post count. I really considered leaving at that point.

It's me that should apologize to you. I just want to be back on the BABB so bad, it hurts deep down inside. If one isn't registered, it's hard to move around the forum without reading the same posts over and over. Stardate was an easy way to move around, but the temptation to post was far greater than the consequences. Like I said earlier, I just didn't feel right about deceiving the good folks of the BABB any longer, as Stardate, so I came clean. I knew I would get banned again, but I wanted the BA to know how badly I want to come back.
