13 man concussion ball starts in a few minutes when hopefully the Convict Colony will crush Eng-ger-lund. Rather disappointingly England have a player with the same first and last names as me which suggests someone from Clan the Ba' went south and liked it so much they stayed. Or more likely they were on the run from the polis and couldn't come back. Either way they are blackening our otherwise spotless family name.

I know this was September, but I have only just noticed
who the ref was. How very modern.
Edit: I know it is common these days but it still amuses me that Scottish refs are sponsored by a chain of opticians.

She's been around the lower leagues for a while, and she made got a good name there. She's a cop, and she has totally no problem at all dressing down man a foot or two larger than her and making a gazillion times the money. The only problem is that she is a solitaire who'll be in the Bundesliga for few years and then disappear. She is not the tip of an iceberg of capable woman refs taking the lower male leagues in a storm.

That is often the way, but if it inspires other women it will take a few years but they'll get there.
I'm not sure if there are any in the Scottish Football Leagues but there are a couple of women reffing high level men's rugby. Perhaps because male refs are smaller than the players the lack of stature makes no difference, and the best ref in rugby is openly gay.

Rangers v Berwick Rangers, 2013. Yes, there are some - mostly seem to be fourth officials or
linesmen linespersons assistant referees, but there are two or three I believe.

Aren't they. I guess you call being 2-1 down at the half lucky, after two offside goals and a squandered penalty for the opposition.

Oh, and the Scottish Rugby League team is now three men down as they were too drunk to be allowed onto the flight to the next game.

I'd say not, though beating ICT ought to count double.

What is evil about Inverness in particular? I falways found the name Caledonian Thistle quite charming.

Proximity to Dingwall, home of Ross Chuffing County. So the local rivals. I'm sure Lianachan can give you chapter and verse as to their many and varied faults.
